Lacroix's full range of spectral / MTV / infrared chaff & flares enables Air Force pilots to perform low altitude operations.
- MTV flares: Designed to counter 1st generation MANPADS decoyed by high intensity IR output.
- Spectral flares: Designed to prevent the activation of IR missiles equipped with counter-countermeasures.
The effectiveness of these flares has been demonstrated on a wide range of aircraft (JAS 39, EMBOW, MAMBOW, F18, Mirage, Rafale, etc.), and tested in some of the most demanding technical trials (EMBOW, EPAF 16, etc.).
They are currently in operational use in many Air Forces throughout the world.

Each of our cartridges undergoes extensive on-site testing in our testing facilities: high-speed rails, pyrotechnic tunnel, etc. - Most of them are STANAG 4687 & 7122 compliant.
Our range of fighter aircraft cartridges is available in :
- IR (either MTV or Spectral) : 2''x1'', 40 mm, 50 mm, 55 mm, 60 mm,
- Chaff : 1''x1'', 40, 50, 55 mm
IR cartridges / format
New architecture and process providing :
- improved reliability and safety,
- high intensity IR output,
- calibrated rising time and optimized burning time ensuring a high level of protection.
2''x1'': LIR 120/121 series : Advanced MTV or spectral decoys for protection against IR missiles for fighter aircraft equipped with NATO standard dispensers (F16 etc.).
40 mm / 60 mm: LIR 410/411 series, 659, 684 : Advanced MTV or spectral decoys for Rafale and Mirage 2000 protection against IR missiles.
50 mm: The LIR 500 cartridge is designed for platforms equipped with Russian format dispensers.
55 mm: BOZ 1010 cartridge for Tornado
Chaff range cartridges / format
1''x1'': LEM 170 chaff cartridge for any platform protection against RF threats. Customizable chaff cuts to optimize the generated RCS (2 to 40 GHz). Compatible with fighter aircraft equipped with NATO standard dispensers.
40 mm: LEM 677 chaff cartridge for the Rafale and M2000. Improved blooming to ensure a high level of protection. Customizable chaff cuts to optimize the generated RCS (2 to 40 GHz).
50 mm: LEM 505 chaff cartridge is designed for platforms equipped with Russian format dispensers.
